howtoplayblackjack.info is a free, browser-based blackjack learning game. No real-money gambling takes place on this site, no account with an email address or password is required, and we collect as little data as a daily leaderboard allows.

What we store on our server

If you join the daily leaderboard, you choose a display name. For that feature we store:

Leaderboard entries are keyed to a single UTC day and are deleted automatically within 7 days. If you never join the leaderboard, our server stores nothing about you.

What stays on your device

Your game progress — XP total, level, completed chapters, chip balance, chosen name and language — is saved in your browser's localStorage. It never leaves your device except as described above. You can erase it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for howtoplayblackjack.info.

Cookies, analytics and third parties

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising scripts, and embeds no third-party content. Fonts, images and game code are served from this domain. We do not sell, share or transfer any data to third parties.

Server logs

Like virtually every website, our hosting infrastructure keeps short-lived technical access logs (requested URL, timestamp, browser user-agent) for security and troubleshooting. These are rotated and deleted on a regular schedule and are not used to profile visitors.

Children

This site teaches the rules and mathematics of a card game and does not offer real-money play. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; the leaderboard stores only a self-chosen display name and a score.

Your choices

You can play the entire game without joining the leaderboard. To remove a leaderboard entry before its automatic deletion, or for any other privacy question, email [email protected] with the display name and date, and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If the site gains new features that change what data is processed, this page will be updated before those features go live. The date at the top reflects the latest revision.
